Bio/Resume

Thank you for visiting this page.

I am Kashif J. Piracha, MD. I obtained my medical degree from King Edward Medical University in Lahore, Pakistan in 2000.

Subsequently, I completed my Internal Medicine residency training from Memorial Health University Medical Center in Savannah, Georgia from 2003-2006.

I was then in clinical practice from 2006-2012 in Fort Worth, Texas.

From 2012-2014, I completed my Nephrology fellowship training from Stony Brook University Hospital in Stony Brook, New York.

I have since been working and taking care of patients in Houston, Texas. I am board certified in Internal Medicine and Nephrology.

I have been elected a Fellow of the American College of Physicians, American Society of Nephrology and National Kidney Foundation. I am also a Specialist in Clinical Hypertension.

In addition to my clinical duties, I am also a freelance medical writer.  I am the founder and CEO of Piracha Consulting LLC. My company is actively engaged in medical writing. Several projects spanning different genres of medical writing, including news pieces, needs assessments and manuscripts have already been completed. Some of that work is available to download on this website.

When I am not working, you can find me traveling and hiking in America’s National Parks. I love to spend time in the outdoors. Connecting with nature keeps me going.
